Mexican Turkey Burger

Ingredients
- 1 Lb ground turkey
- 2 green onions diced
- 1 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1/2-1 Tsp cayenne pepper depending on the level of spice you want
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- avocado oil or coconut oil for frying
Instructions

In a medium bowl, mix together turkey, onions, olive oil and garlic.

In a small dish, combine all dry spices.

Add spice mixture to meat mixture and mix together until well incorporated.

Form into 4 patties.

Cook on grill or fry with oil on the stove top over medium heat until no longer pink. If cooking on the stove, you will need to cook them in 2 batches so as not to crowd the pan.

Serve on bun of choice, in a lettuce wrap or on it's own with preferred toppings. Avocado, salsa and caramelized onions compliment the burger nicely.
Recipe Notes
Storage Tip:
Wrap cooled, individual burgers in tin foil, combine them all in a large freezer bag and and freeze for an easy to grab meal.
Packing Tip:
Place as many individually wrapped burgers as you intend to bring on your trip in a baggy.
Pack condiments and toppings in separate baggies and/or containers.
Keep cold.
Heating Tips:
Place wrapped patty in the airplane oven and cook for 20 minutes or fry an unwrapped patty on a mini-skillet in the hotel room. Prepare as desired.
