Ingredients

  • 1 Lb ground turkey
  • 2 green onions diced
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1/2-1 Tsp cayenne pepper depending on the level of spice you want
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • avocado oil or coconut oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together turkey, onions, olive oil and garlic.
  2. In a small dish, combine all dry spices.

  3. Add spice mixture to meat mixture and mix together until well incorporated.
  4. Form into 4 patties.

  5. Cook on grill or fry with oil on the stove top over medium heat until no longer pink. If cooking on the stove, you will need to cook them in 2 batches so as not to crowd the pan.

  6. Serve on bun of choice, in a lettuce wrap or on it's own with preferred toppings. Avocado, salsa and caramelized onions compliment the burger nicely.
